This is for the birds!

I finally found some time to sit and create--in spite of the fact that my darling husband kept me very busy helping him build our chicken enclosure.  Why is it that men think we love hauling lumber at Home Depot?  I don't drag him to the mall!

Is anyone ready for spring to get here?  I made this card for Saturday Stampin', and it is quick and simple.  I really love clean lines and bright colors.

Stamp Sets:  Aviary and Tiny Tags
Cardstock and Ink: Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder
Accessories: Calypso Coral Ribbon, Bakers Twine, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Jewelry Tag Punch, Rhinestones

I hope everyone is having a great week.  See you Saturday!

Nothing Creative

Do you ever have one of those days where you just don't WANT to do something?  These past two weeks I have made some drastic changes in my diet and exercise routine.  As in, I started one. Ha ha.  But seriously, do you have ANY idea how much time that takes?  Well, its a lot, I promise you.  The bottom line here is that I just didn't feel like stamping.  I know, I know, how is that even imaginable?  Today, during my regularly scheduled "Stampin' time", I decided to photograph my chickens and blog about them, instead.  (THAT is a lot of work too, OMG.  Try it sometime!)  I took a personal day.  I will make it up to you. ;)

In the meantime, if you are interested, you can check out what I HAVE been up to, here.

And check THIS out!  (Wow, I can't believe I just figured out how to do that!)

Anyhoo, thanks for stopping by today.  Hopefully I will find my stampin' mojo after a nice night to myself.  Have a great weekend!

Is Pool Party sticking around?

Today Stampin' Up! showed us a sneak peak of a new line coming out, called "This and That".  Would you believe that POOL PARTY and CALYPSO CORAL are included in this line?  What does that mean???   I don't exactly know, but we will find out soon!

Simple Spring Card

Here is a quick and cute card for my Saturday Stampin' group.  I just love the little Itty Bitties set-just imagine the variations that you could create!

Stamp Sets:  Four Frames and Itty Bitties
Cardstock:  Pool Party and Whisper White
Accessories:  Vine Street Embossing Folder, Vine Street Pool Party Ribbon, Rhinestones, Pool Party Bakers Twine, Decorative Label Punch

I just cannot believe that Pool Party is going to retire this June!  I just LOVE this color, and I am SO hoping that we get something equally as awesome with the new catalog!  (Which I will be lucky enough to receive on April 20 at the Riverton Reigonal!) Oh. Em. Geeee I cannot wait!

Sale-a-Bration is coming to an end!

Don' miss out on your chance to earn FREE stuff!  You get to pick a free item from a special exclusive catalog for each $50 you spend.  Click here for more details about this promotion.

This is another card my club ladies made in March.  It uses the AWESOME Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper from SAB.   Nice and simple, no cutting anything out with scissors.  (Ok, OK!  Some of you have pointed out that they had to cut the notch in the orange banner with their scissors.  I think we are splitting hairs here!)  And in full disclosure, yes, they had to cut the real, actual ribbon with scissors too.  I told them that next month I will just have their cards made for them and we will just have coffee and visit. (Kidding!)

Stamps: Oh, Hello and Madison Avenue (SAB)
Cardstock:  Sycamore Street DSP, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, Pool Party and Whisper White
Accessories: Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack (SAB), Island Indigo Baker's Twine, 1¾" Scallop Circle Punch, 1⅜ " Circle Punch, 1¼" Scallop Circle Punch, and yes, SCISSORS

Check back for details about my upcoming class, the LOVE BAG BOOK.  If you are local, I am just sayin', you might want to save May 4 for a fun class!

March Stamp Club Card

In keeping with my club members' whining, I have created another card which does not require cutting by hand or using the Big Shot.  I CASED this card from a friend and fellow Utah Diva, Leonie Schroder.  She lives in Australia, and I TOLD her I was CASE-ing this card.  It is just too stinkin' cute to be this simple.  And all the green is such a nice harbinger of spring!  (Well I guess it is Fall in Australia, but that is neither here nor there, LOL)  Thanks Leonie!  I can't wait to meet you in Utah this (U.S.) summer.

Stamp Sets: French Foliage and Field Flowers
Card Stock: Naturals White and Certainly Celery
Ink: Midnight Muse, Certainly Celery, Always Artichoke and Sahara Sand
Accessories: Natural Trim

For those of you who are wondering, CASE is an acronym for Copy and Share Everything.  (Or my preference, Copy and STEAL everything! (evil grin) Stampin' Up! encourages everyone to share their love of stamping with everyone they can, in whatever way possible.  I have been so fortunate to have SO MANY great ideas to CASE!

Thanks for checking in, and I will see you all on Tuesday!

We hate cutting!

*Edited to include link to the evil card that was unintentionally left of of the original post*

After we made this card at club, everyone started whining about how much they hate cutting things out by hand.  (They have all been really spoiled with all the new punches and framelets!)  So I thought I would make something very simple, that involved NO cutting.  They whine about coloring, embossing and tying ribbons too!  So I decided I would make them something they CAN NOT complain about for next month.

What do you think?

No?  Ok, well I guess I can do a little better than that.
(Then the next thing you know they would all be complaining that its too easy!)
Sometimes you just can't win!  LOL

Here is take two:

Stamp Sets: Summer Silhouettes, Made for You
Cardstock:  Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Rose Red, and Very Vanilla
Accessories:  NONE! HA!

Of course anyone who knows me, knows that my clubs just like to give me a hard time.  I would not trade any of the for the world!  I love them all, even if they do cry about using scissors. (Rolling my eyes!)
