Random Birthday Tags

Yesterday we celebrated Ashley's 13th birthday.  (My youngest child)  We had pizza, Oreo Blizzard cake and played XBox, and later today we are going to see "The Croods" in 3D.  We gave each of the girls who came to the party a party favor, called a "Bucket of Randomness".  We bought large metal tins (leftover from the Easter clearance aisle) and filled them with randomness.  For example, Mac and Cheese, Qtips, Applesauce, Chapstick, Oreos, bubbles and deodorant.  Yes, deodorant.  That was Alexa's idea, her older sister.  She said "I REALLY want to give them deodorant!"….so we did.  Yep-random.

Anyway…I made these cute tags to match her color scheme.  They are random! Ok, they are all the same in format, but the clips and the stamps in the middle of the circles have no meaning.

Then I made this for the inside of the tags, just using my word processing program.  How fun!

Here is the final product.  The tags look kinda wimpy now, but they are still darling, and I had a lot of fun making them.  Creating stuff for teenagers is easy…they don't really care!  Ha!

I havent decorated for a party in a long time, so I was kind of proud of myself for throwing this together in a couple hours.  (I decided at the last minute to decorate)

Well, have a nice day.  I am looking forward to going to the movies so that I can have some peace!  Right?  Anyone with teenagers knows what I am talking about….

  2. You did a great job on the decorating, the treat pails, and the tags. Did you make those big bows too, or did you buy them? It must have been fun to do all the stuff for the party. My kids are older now, but I used to excel at treat bags. Something similar to yours, and it was always fun!

  3. Thanks Debra! NO, I did not make the bows. I picked them up at Zurchers (party store) when I went for cellophane. They were only $1.00 each, and I just couldn't resist- and they were SO easy. It was a lot of fun making them, and I just might have to do it again for the next birthday!
